COVID-19 Information
Effective June 1, 2022, the Covid Booking Assurance is no longer in effect. Why and what does this mean?
• Covid is now very much a part of everyday life and many insurance companies now offer affordable coverage.
• Should guests choose to have their travel covered, they must ensure that adequate travel insurance is purchased at the time of or shortly after booking.
• Aquatic Adventures will not be responsible for any financial loss incurred by issues beyond our control such as, but not limited to, weather, ‘Act of God’, changes made by local authorities or Covid-related interruptions. Our “Terms and Conditions” apply to all bookings.

Travel, Vaccination and Testing Requirements
Please note official travel information changes at a rapid pace, sometimes with little or no advance notice. While we will do our best to keep guests updated on current information, each guest is responsible for researching and adhering to the most current advisories and travel entry/exit requirements for the destination they are visiting and for return to their country of origin. Test fees are guests’ responsibility, but where possible and noted in trip update emails, crew will help arrange the tests.
Should guests test positive, quarantine regulations will vary by destination. While crew and staff will work with local authorities to make arrangements, the cost of quarantine accommodations, food, supplies, testing, medical needs, flight changes and other expenses are the responsibility of each guest. We strongly encourage all guests to purchase travel insurance that covers COVID-related expenses.
For ‘Whales of the Silver Bank’ trips out of the Dominican Republic, our charter boat Turks & Caicos Explorer II follows the requirements of their home port, Turks and Caicos Islands. As of April 1, 2023, there is no longer a Covid-19 vaccine requirement. Please note that requirements can change very rapidly.
Explorer Ventures has made the decision to discontinue requiring guests coming aboard the Turks & Caicos Explorer II to present a negative COVID-19 test result (as of June 23, 2023). For the safety of all guests and crew, Explorer Ventures still encourages everyone to test prior to leaving home. If any guest becomes symptomatic during a charter, testing, isolation and/or disembarkation may be necessary at your own expense. As always, travel insurance is recommended to cover unexpected expenses.
We appreciate your support and understanding as we aim to provide the safest, most enjoyable experience possible for our crew and all of our guests.
